What is 2 year funding?

A child can only be accepted for a two year funded place if they fall into one of the following categories:

1. Parents receiving Working Tax Credits and have annual gross earnings of no more than £16,190 per year.

2. The child has a current statement of SEN or an Education, Health and Care plan.

3. The child has left care through special guardianship or an adoption or residence order.

Families who fall into the above criteria will be notified by TMBC by letter, this letter must be shown as proof of eligibility and a copy taken for future reference.

What will the 2 year grant fund?

Children accessing the funded places will be offered places by one of the following options:

Option 1
Children may attend any of the following 7.5 hour sessions, 2 days per week, over 38 weeks per year.
9.00am - 4.30pm or 9.30am - 5.00pm

Option 2
Children may attend for one full day and one half day per week, over 38 weeks of the year.
7.30am - 5.30pm or 8.00am - 6.00pm
7.30am - 12.30pm or 1.00pm - 6.00pm per week

Option 3
Children may attend for one extended day per week, over 50 weeks of the year.
7.30am - 5.30pm or 8.00am - 6.00pm

Are you eligible?

You may be entitled to 15 hours of early education for up to 38 weeks completely free of charge if you are in receipt one of the following eligible benefits:
• Income support
• Income-based job seekers’ allowance (JSA)
• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
• Child Tax Credit only and have an annual income of no more than £16,190
• The Guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
• Universal Credit
• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
• The Working Tax Credit 4-week run on (the payment you get when you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
• Working Tax Credits and you have an annual income of no more than £16,190

or

• Where the local authority has parental responsibility for a child – a ‘Looked After Child’ subject to a care order
• Your child has a current statement of special educational needs (SEN) or an education, health and care plan
• If your child receives Disability Living allowance
• Your child has left care through special guardianship or through an adoption or residence order
